Claudia C. Thacker

CHILLICOTHE: Claudia C. Thacker, 66, of Chillicothe, died 1:40 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 in the OSU Hospitals following a brief illness. She was born July, 22, 1944, in Chillicothe to the late Clyde A. and Margaret Ellen Arledge Wetzel. On December 15, 1969 she married Phillip A. Thacker who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Elizabeth J. (Rod) Barnaby of Blacklick and Julie D. Thacker, of Grove City; grandchildren, Julia, Christian and Bryan; a sister Karen (Carl) Rebman, of Chillicothe; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Ford Tyler.

Claudia always had a love of travel which led to the founding of her Chillicothe travel agency, Advantage Travel Services. Claudia passed that love of seeing new places to her daughters and grandchildren who plan to pass it on for many generations to come.

Claudia was a twelve year heart recipient and her family would like to bring awareness to the importance of organ and tissue donation.
