RIP Mrs. Knight

WAVERLY: Edith Fay Knight, 75 of Clines Chapel Rd. Waverly, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Pike Community Hospital.

She was born on July 1, 1935 in Lynch, KY to the late Taylor and Mabel Walker Marcum.

She was united in marriage on January 27, 1957 to Earl Knight, Jr. who survives; also surviving are two daughters, Kimberly Ann Kargus, Tammy Franks and husband Eddie both of Greenville, SC; two sons, John Knight and wife Lori, and Dean Knight both of Waverly; eight grandchildren, Brian Kargus and wife Angela, Aaron, and Stephanie Kargus, Janessa and Jacob Knight, Jessica Knight, Eric Franks, and Lacara Hinebaugh; three great grandchildren, Jenna, Malory, and Maliah Hinebaugh; and one sister, Doris Marshall and husband Charles of Waverly.

Mrs. Knight was retired from the Huntington Local District where she taught for 18 years, and also taught for 5 years in the Waverly City School System, and was a member of the Ani-Tsalagi Cherokee Indian Tribe.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with Dale Reed, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery-Denver Rd. Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
