ANNOUNCEMENTS

Just a heads-up that the first set (about 60) of the "lost" but now "found" photos taken by David Streb are posted in the photos area.  The first set are in the Friday night meet-and-greet folder.

Thanks so much for taking these, David -- they're great photos.  Sorry it took so long to post them!

cheers,

Bob

On behalf of the CSSS Class of 71 and 2011 40th Reunion Committee I would like to thank Elmar Rudolph, Darcelle (Daoust)Cottons, Dave Sagert, Diane Paquette and Karen (Paquette)Lock for their monetary donations toward the cost of launching our website and keeping it going for the next couple of years for the enjoyment of all.

Much appreciated,
Anne (Creber) Girbav

Just wanted to say thanks to the Grad ReUnion Committee who took time out from their busy lives to do such a great job of putting this event together.
It was fun, funny, (a LOT of LOL'ing), and definitely somewhat surreal!
See you all at the 50th! Best, Gloria Lee-McGill

Thank you, organizers, for a great event. It was grand to see everyone, and have a walk down memory lane, also drive around the 'Wack as a part of that process. Thanks, Greg, for a wonderful venue Saturday night.
This site is great, hope we keep connected through it.

What a great 40th Reunion weekend!  Thank you so much for everyone who organized, decorated, greeted, MC-ed,opend up ol' CSSS for us, spoke, recited, helped register the guests, organized the draws and door prizes, cooked the food, played the music, belly-danced, photographed the class, provided the venue as a private party, cleaned up afterwards, and did all the "heavy lifting" unseen, in the background.

And, of course, to YOU, CSSS Grad of '71 -- thanks for coming long distances and small, on holiday and immediately after work, to share your stories and memories of life at CSSS and afterwards.  What a great class! (and, you don't look a year over 40!)

Some photos from the School Tour and from the Banquet are posted but there is lots of room for many more.  Chose your best images and upload them into the galleries.

See you all at the 50th! (so says Sharon, who is already planning on it...)

Hey everyone! Thanks for making this weekend such a great success! It was truly a lot of fun. It was so nice to see so many faces, some looking more familiar than others!

Thanks especially to Sharon, Anne, Bob, Harald, Gary Hall (in absentia) and all the volunteers who helped bring it altogether.

The reception at the school was excellent. Deb Turney gave us a most thought provoking Revaledictorian speech. We also got a lesson in the new math, where we have saved $5 million in seismic upgrades, by spending $50 million on a whole new school! Well, lets face it, the old place has done its job, and needed replacing. But, it will never be the same without it! All the best to Rick Jones and his staff in their new challenges.

The food was good, the music rockin', and the dancing hot! Duke's was a wonderful space for our event Sat evening. Charlotte and her dancers charmed us. Bob and his dedication to Mohamar Kadafi was certainly unique; and his delegation of duties in favour of Pat Brown for the next reunion most Machiavellian! Also, thanks to Greg Robinson for being the consummate host for our evening at Duke's!

There was lots of banter about who will organize the reunion in 2021. I say we have nine years to ponder it. By that time many more of us will be retired, and with all that time on our hands, will be delighted to do it all over again - if only we can remember what high school we went to....

Rock on!

Making a profile is fun! So make your profile, tell some stories (take liberties with the truth, after all you want your school mates to know how successful, happy and wealthy you are).

I can proudly say I only have one gang member in my extended family (wife's side), a handful of drug addicts, a larger number of alcoholics, and a growing number of prescription drug abusers. Hand me the viagra dear.

Upload photos. Alan and Merlin have some classic photos! I now realize I have no digital photos from earlier than 2004, when we finally converted from film! I will have to do some scanning!

Our reunion weekend plans include:

• Friday evening, Sept. 23rd, 7 - 10 P.M., school tour and reception at the School.

• Saturday evening, Sept. 24th buffet and dance at Duke's Pub (41582 Yale Rd. (Take Yale Rd. West Exit off Highway 1)).  Buffet dinner at 7:00 - 8:30 P.M., and dance 9:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M.
