Robert A Taft High School
1961 50th Anniversary Committee

Welcome to the official website for the Robert A. Taft High School Class of 1961 - "the Most Awesome Class of All."  This is a working site, changing all the time.  We have been up and running for about 2 years.

The Most Awesome Class 1961

Senators, our 50th Class Reunion Dinner and Dance Celebration was a tremendous success. We want to thank everyone who contributed to our success.

On Friday, despite the storm, we had a great turnout. We spend the evening talking and remembering old times, taking pictures, eating, and just having fun. The food was great. You know what the “Most Awesome Class” would do.

Saturday, you would have had to be there to actually believe and feel what was going on.  The Invocation was given by our Rev. Charles Dinkins, 1961 graduate from Taft High School, who concluded with a song. Remarks were given by Taft’s Principal, Anthony G. Smith, 1973 graduate of Taft High School.

Next, dinner was served – and what a dinner. I have not heard one complaint about the meal, I know the people at my table were able to enjoy their dinners.  After dinner, we were treated with an inspirational and entertaining speech by Judith L. Cochran, 1961 graduate of Taft High School.

After the program, Willie C. did what he does best – entertained us. His selection of music spanned the 50 years since high school and our high school days. Willie C. was presented a certificate of appreciation from the Class of 1961 for all that he has done over the years.

We hope you enjoyed our souvenir booklet.  Please patronize those who advertised in our booklet.

Thanks again to those of you who attended our "Old School Dance" on October 2, 2010.  It was well attended and everyone had a great time.  I am sure you enjoyed looking at the pictures.  At any time, you can click on "Old School Dance" and see the pictures.

Thanks to those of you who have already signed up and posted your profile on our website.  We need more of you to sign up - we invite everyone who graduated on June 12, 1961, at Music Hall, Cincinnati, Ohio, to join our site.  Just click on "Senators Profiles" in the left column, click on your name and follow the prompts.  You can also add pictures.  It is all free and always will be.

Visit our site often to read the profile updates and see pictures of classmates and friends.  You can also see where other Senators live (to the right).

We hope you enjoy - and use - our Robert A. Taft Class of 1961 website.  Tell us what you think by using the "Contact Us" link to the left.

Thanks,
