I'm shocked to get this notice of Jerry,s passing. One of the most fun and pleasant people to be around. A great teammate and a humble guy. Jerry and Eddy S were a dynamic pair and duo on whatever the current season's team they were participating on. And Doc Collins was always there to patch them up if needed. My sincere condolences to Jerry's family. Rest In Peace my friend.

Condolences go out to Jerry's family and friends. We were old friends going back to our homeroom and as teammates on the Woodward baseball team. Years later, I received a call from Stan Mathews inviting me to join the Kenwood Baptist Church softball team. The team included Jerry, Stan, and Bill Schlesinger. We had a great time. I told the guys that I would bring the Old Testament to the games so that I could prey for a hit. Jerry and I lost touch with each other, but we did see each other at the reunions and later when he became an Uber driver. He called me last year after Hazel Goldberg requested that he contact me. He called me to cheer me up during my recovery from COVID. It was really great to talk with him and share our past times. I remember that I used to see Jerry a lot after he started dating Gail Combs who lived down the street from me. He would always stop and chat with me before and after he was visiting his future wife. I know Jerry will be deeply missed by his best friends: Herb Margolis (my fraternity brother); Bill Stewart (my teammate on the Bond Hill-Roselawn Bearcats, our pee wee football team); and Stan Mathews (also on that team and my law school classmate.  Mitch Goldberg

Mitch, it was a pleasure to see you on FaceTime or whatever and talk to you. I only wish that we could have had time for a face-to-face and and talk about our backgrounds in labor relations. While I was at New York at Chemical Bank, which is now JP, Morgan, Chase, I created a position that I held as the chief labor relations officer for the Chemical Bank corporation. I later joined the firm of John Sheridan associates and continued my business work in labor relations into the 90s. By then I had decided to enter higher education and to teach for the University of Maryland, Europe-Labor and Enploymebt Kaw and Labor Relations . I worked overseas for eight years in Germany primarily, Belgium, and Italy  (including Sicily).  I return to the states in the late 90s and took a professor ship and Economics noand business  at Kentucky State university until I retired in 2014.
