Helga was a loving mother. Although she was divorced at the time of her death, she was strongly supported by her family. I got to see her in Europe when I was in grad school and had a great time with her and her fiancé (who became her husband) when we drove from England to Germany together. I stayed in her flat and got to meet her family.
