Comments:

I married Donald Sholer, now deceased, shortly after graduation and went to live in Canoga Park, where I worked at Atomics International and earned an AA degree from Pierce College (attending nights) before our children were born. Later we moved to Goleta, where I completed my BA in Business Economics (with an Accounting emphasis) at UCSB, took and passed the CPA Exam, became a CPA and worked in Public Accounting for a number of years (after our children entered school in Goleta.) Our family lived in Camarillo, near Ventura, during Andrea and Garrett's high school years; and I changed from public accounting to the private sector. I worked as a corporate Controller for three small to medium-sized privately-held companies before switching to school accounting in 1991, when I moved back to the Inland Empire where I own my own small house and live alone except-for two cats and a small dog. I am single now, but have a 15-year committed relationship with a camping friend from Moreno Valley. No grandchildren yet, but there is hope; Andrea is married and Garrett is engaged. I love my work as the Budget person and accounting supervisor for our small school district, but I am thinking about retiring in a few years (if the economy improves by then). I am active in grass-roots Democratic politics in my local area, and campaigned vigorously (within my work-a-holic time limits) for President-elect Barack Obama. I am very optimistic about the changes coming under our new administration, eventually, even though I fear we will have some serious difficulties to go through first. Right now life is treating me well in general, despite some minor health issues. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone who can come next June.

School Story:

My fondest memories revolve around the times our small group spent producing the 1959 Annual and how wonderful it was to work with Mrs. Noble. Her advice has served me well ever since. The girls and guys who helped put the annual together were all a lot more fun than I was, but at least a bit rubbed-off, and I certainly enjoyed all their antics, many of which are imortalized in the pages of that book. Thank you to all of you for being such great friends and role models (of all kinds).

Hi Dorothy! Happy days and especially your birthday! It´s long ago and MUCH has happened but I remember my schoolmates, my schedules and fun. I am fine ( as fine can be at the years of 83 ), I have finished my work as "director" of my own textile shop and I still live at the countryside. LOVE and greetings from Stina
