The Bill I knew was a very private person, and he was a very kind and sensitive man as well. He will be deeply missed by so many of us next weekend, that it finally occurred to me to try and call his former wife, Gisela, to find out if she would mind my sharing a bit more with the rest of you (than what she wrote to me in a short note awhile back). She told me that, although they were divorced, he had stayed with her in Mammouth Lakes for some time after our 30th Reunion, but then he moved to a small town in Nevada, where he later died of cancer. He had not communicated with her in several years, but it was her name the hospital had to contact after his death. He is also survived by his two sons, Sean and Christopher. I know Bill had many dear friends back in High School, and I hope some of you will share with the rest of us about the "good times" you had together then.
