Gordon Webster

"Born April 28, 1941. Died Aug. 11, 2003, Ralph Gordon Webster, a third generation Californian and 1959 graduate of Claremont High School, died on Aug. 11th at El Dorado Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. He was 62 years old. Mr. Webster earned his Bachelor Degree at Pepperdine University and attended graduate school at U.C.L.A.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Ralph Webster, he worked in the aerospace industry, his career spanning 37 years beginning at General Dynamics, Pomona. He became corporate vice president of the company and headed the Camden, Arkansas division. He returned in 1991 to the Pomona location continuing on with Hughes Aircraft Corp. when ownership changed. He relocated with the company to Tucson, Az and it was there that he retired in 1996.

Gordon, as he is known by family and friends, is survived by his wife, Judy of Tucson, his son, Richard Pippen, stepsons, Ken and Mark Duvall, stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Wendy and John Semerad, his mother Florence Webster of Claremont, and sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Paul Haberman of Brentwood, brother, Larry Webster of Claremont and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sharie Webster of Brea. Gordon was loved for this strong devotion to family and wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by not only his immediately and extended family, but by a host of friends."
