 A NOTE OF THANKS

12/24/09  Christmas Greetings & Thanks well overdue to two of our Class members (leaders). Without them and their tireless efforts we (the Class Of 1961) would not be able to enjoy the Wonderful Class Website and to be able to visit and rekindle friendships from almost 50-plus years ago; I say that because many of us have known each other since the days of graham crackers and milk back in kindergarden at Sycamore Elementary School...

To Guy: A classmate, a husband, a father, a church volunteer, a full time employee still working 40 or more hours a week, taking care of his family, his church and many other community issues, and yet he still manages to find time for us, the class of 61!! Without Guy's experience, his many, many, tireless nights, sitting at his computer at home, many nights even though he still has to go to work the next day, putting the awesome Website together for all of us, that allows each and every one of us to keep in touch with each other. To Guy for your patience and understanding, helping those of us that need help with our needs when on the computer, no matter when, you are always there for us, definitely me included. To quote my cousin from an e-mail he once sent to another CHS Alumnus, Claremont definitely bred some really amazing people, and I feel Guy is in that class.

Next, Sharon... what can we say about this girl?  Married, a loving wife, a mother to two step children, on the go constantly and also tirelesly putting together and planning events for other people, organizing special events, parties, reunions, and yet she also has managed to find the time, also up very, very, late, long hours doing all the graphics for our website, making sure each and every one of us all are doing O.K., keeping us all posted as to the well-being of our brothers and sisters in our class, she always emphasizes that we the Class of 1961 are a family, and whenever the need arises to post a call for help from the class for one of our classmates, SHARON is the one to always initiate that call, and to follow through on it until the problem or issue is resolved. Sharon is always keeping our website up-dated, the graphics are always changing so as to keep our interest, and to make it fun and enjoyable.

I feel that I speak for the whole class when I say "Happy Holidays, Thanks to both of you, GUY & SHARON. Without the two of you, we would not have the website that we do and a lot of us would still be in the dark as to the lives of our classmates.  I know for one, (it has opened many doors for me) that I am so thankful for, and we (THE CLASS OF 1961) CANNOT BEGIN TO THANK YOU BOTH ENOUGH FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE AND CONTINUE TO DO FOR US ALL THE TIME.) MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU BOTH, MAY YOU BOTH HAVE PEACE & MAY 2010 BRING YOU BOTH AND YOUR FAMILIES GOOD HEALTH AND ALL THAT YOU ARE HOPING FOR, ALWAYS."

RICKY, AND THE WHOLE CLASS.!!!!!!!!!!!

CHS ALUMNI Monthly Breakfast!

On the first Saturday of every month, alumni of various classes of Claremont High School gather for breakfast at the Village Grill. (Surely you remember one of our old after-school hangouts?)

The breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Banquet Room.  Stop by and get re-aquainted with 'old' friends from '57, '58, '59, '60, '61, etc.

By the way, the food is still delicious!

SALUTE TO OUR VETS

If you are a Veteran, please complete the Veterans' Survey & send a photo of yourself in uniform & any additional information or service photos you’d like to share. If you have any information about our deceased classmates’ military service, we would welcome that as well.  Please send photos to Sharon Esterley at esterley@aol.com

CLASS CHAT
Have you visited Class Chat yet?  These are YOUR pages!  I know one classmate didn't even know HIS name was there!  It is intended to be a way for classmates to carry on open discussion on any topic, and we encourage your participation!

Note that there are several topics in each Forum, not just the first one you see.  The 2nd column shows how many topics are posted in each one.  Click on the RED Forum title to see all the postings in that category.  This will also show the date of the last posting, so you can read updates in each topic.

To participate in any ongoing discussion, click “Reply” to post your comments or add your own photos!  PLEASE DO NOT click "Post New Topic" unless you intend to start a completely new topic.

Remember that Class Chat postings are visible to everyone.  Think of this as writing a letter to the Editor in a newspaper.  Don't write anything that is too personal for everyone to read.  To send a personal email or ask a question of a classmate, click on the classmate's name & go to the message box at the bottom of their page.

Voyeurism (from the French voyeur, "one who looks") can take several forms, but its principle characteristic is that the voyeur does not normally relate directly with the subject of their interest, who is often unaware of being observed. The voyeur may observe the subject from a distance, or use stealth to observe the subject with the use of two-way mirrors, camera, videos, etc.

Is this you?

If we refer someone to the site and they sign up for Class Creator, our web site subscription will be extended for another six months!!!  We have already earned a year and a half this way.

Not only is the Class Creator site used for high school classes, but for families and any group that may benefit.  If you know anyone that could use the service please pass along the information. To receive credit they must use the link below or click on the Class Creator ad at the bottom of this page AND let Sharon know of their subscription!
