In Memory

Kazuhiro Shinohara

Kazuhiro Shinohara

My husband, Kazuhiro Shinohara, passed away on November 24 at age of 77.

He was suffering from appendix cancer.

One of the best memories in his life was a year spent in Claremont.

Thank you very much for a long time friendship.

Sincerely,

Yoshiko Shinohara (his wife)

I was so sorry to hear this.  I reconnected with Kaz at the reunion and kept in touch.  We then traveled to Japan and met at the fish market and went and had the best sushi I think I have ever had.  We had a great conversation with him and he told us he was flying out the next day to go someplace in Indonesia on business.  Still working.

I will remember that day for a long time.

Count me as one who was really really taken back by seeing Kaz at our renunion... the fact that he even remembered me... what a special friend...

Kaz and I ran track together.  I'll always remember him with fondness.  Even though he was only with us for one year at Claremont, he will be with us forever in our hearts and minds. Yasurakaninemuru my friend!!

Kaz, you were a wonderful exchange student. We all appreciated you! Japan is an amazing Nation, you represented it really well. Thank you for your kind smile every day CHS was so lucky to get you as an exchange student in the class 1963. Martha
