Gerald, Actually, Bob was vacationing in Colorado and was killed in a car crash in the mountains outside of Denver. He and I were room mates at Miami Univ.
Robert was a fine and nice guy. I knew him when he was on the swim team for a short time. Sorry to hear that the car accident took his life at a very young age.
Bob and I grew up together on Atherstone along with a few other of our classmates.
Bob is the reason that I never took up golf. When we were in junior high he was already a golfer and told me I would never succeed if I didn't play golf. I made up my mind right then that I would show him.
We had a lot of great times together back in the old neighborhood.
Jackie Bodart I didn't keep up with Bob in high school, but we were good friends in junior high. I am schocked and very saddened by this news. He will always be thought of as one of the nice ones.
