Andy and I first met at Roxboro and we were friends during the Trigam days at Heights. He had a great personality, was really quite funny, and was quite popular during the early Roxboro days.
Unfortunately, Andy developed a neurological disease that sapped him of his strength and hearing. Little was known of the process of the disease but his father, who was the head of pediatrics at RB&C (University Hospitals) identified the problem and got him help.
He was one hell of a swimmer and he was dedicated to working with kids.
Andy was a great and cool guy to be with. Even he had a great sense of humor and was able to make friends easily. His dedication to teaching young deaf students in NY for a long time had impressed me very much. I first knew him when we were on Height YMCA swim team and continued to swim together for 3 years on Height High swim team.
The challenge of getting back in touch is to fine good people have passed on before you could reconnect. I went through the yearbook just listing folks I wanted to get back in touch with and Andy was one of them--so sad to hear that he died. How long ago was his death? Did he leave a family?
He was always a fun loving individual and could make a room light up. So sorry to find out he's passed on.

Andy was a Trigam brother. He was always fun to be with, very earnest and boy could he swim. God Bless Him!David Chesebrough (Chesebrough)
