EDMUND RIMAS CAPAS CAPKEVICIUS, son of Edmund Capkevicius and Jadvyga Petkevicius was born in 1951 in his beloved city of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1975 he received a degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University. In that same year he finished his military studies at John Carroll University. In 1979 he received his master's degree in Philosophy from Toledo University. In 1980 he joined the U.S. Army where he served as a reserve officer for 26 years and reached the rank of colonel. In 2002-2007 he worked as an advisor to the Minister of Defense of Lithuania, where he was well respected for his efforts in Lithuania to NATO. He continued his passion for Philosophy by working as a professor at Lakeland and Tri-C Community colleges for the past 7 years. He shared his life with his wife, Olga and two daughters, Arbela and Haidena. Funeral services Tuesday, June 9 at 7 p.m. at the JAKUBS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 936 E. 185 St., where the family will receive friends TUESDAY FROM 5-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lithuanian American Citizens Club at 877 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.
