Randy S. Harris

After a 13 year career operating a mid size rental car company, I started a niche, outsourcing business handling claims for independant and franchise car rental company. We collected 20 million dollars last year and my staff runs the show while I travel and have fun with Patty and my boys.

Sam is a jazz pianist who just got his Masters from The Manhattan School of Music in NYC and Max is getting all A's as a freshman at Harvard, after getting a perfect 2,400 on his SATs. Their dad's college performance at Miami of Ohio will be discussed after they both graduate.

Obviously a very happy husband and proud dad.

Sam, the piano kid, has been traveling the world with The Ambrose Akinmusire Quartet the last 9 years. They were up for a Grammy in 2020, Best New Jazz Instrumental, lost to Chick Corea. They played at The Kennedy Center 2 days after the Cavs won the title in 2016. I remind him his night was the second best of that week.

Max ended up with a PHD in Econ from Harvard, worked in the Obama WH and currently administers a special program at The Wharton School of Business.

Both wives are attorneys. Sam has a 2 year old Sylvie and Max a newborn Elsie.

What do I credit their success to? In 1992 I met Ken Mawby in Dallas, where I’ve lived since 1984. His dad broke from the other 2 and had Mawbys at Van Aken Center in the day. Ken invited us to his house and he replicated Mawbys. Everything but the hunchback who ran the dishwasher. Shakes, fries, grilled onions, the works. So they are the only kids of our generation to have Mawbys.

The business I started in 1997, grew to 65 employees, handling damage recovery for 4 different transportation segments. I sold to my partners in May 2022.

Extremely happily retired. Our fall sports travels included the Browns at Atlanta. Cavs at the Warriors. Lakers at the Cavs. Cavs at the Mavs, who I root for too. And lastly the Bears at the Cowboys, for Patty a lifetime Cowboys fan.
