Bob was a real sweetheart. We were in English class together and he always noticed whenever I changed something about myself...hair, skirts, etc. Something that is rare in males. Miss you Bob.
Bobby was a good friend. Always an upbeat person. Have nice memories of being a teammate with him on our Temple basketball team. He was a great athlete and competitor.
Bobby was in my Sunday school class and maybe Hebrew school, too, probably from third grade through about eighth grade. I remember him as a fun and good kid.
Bob and I were in the same homeroom for three years - Mr. Gordon's. He was always a talker and was always a positive and optimistic man. He loved sports and we often spent our time dissecting good plays in football or baseball. I will remember his positive and always friendly manner.
Bob was dearly known on the Monticello basketball team as Bob "Penalty" Hertz. It was not a matter of whether he would foul out of a game but when. He was never afraid to take on the biggest guy on the other team and give him a shot within seconds of coming into the game. Bob gave us all a shot of courage in the process. I can only believe he approached his life in a similar manner fortunate to all who were close to him.
