Kevin and I were friends all through high school. He sat behind me in homeroom, and we walked to school together every morning. I lived on Bainbridge, he lived on Antisdale, and I picked him up on the way. He was a great guitarist and taught me to play my first song, "little black egg". Very simple, but at the time I thought it was great. We went to Euclid Beach Park with some other friends the night I got my driver's license. Unfortunately we never saw each other after high school, and I thought many times of contacting him. I wish I had, he was a great guy.

I remember Kevin from Mr. Tatar's drafting class. Good sense of humour.

There is so much I could say about my good friend Max (Kevin). During the times we attened Heights, there were very few Black students so we all knew each other. Max is the brother of my good friend Leah so I saw him all the time at their house but we were not close; however, we became close friends once Cyberspace took off! Long before most people were even thinking about touching a computer, I was teaching computers at Heights and Max was doing his thing in Denver. We would chat back and forth all night on the computer discussing new ways to do things on the computer and things that were going on in our lives. In the summer of 2000, I went to visit with him and his family (wife & daughter & dog)for two weeks! What a wonderful time we had and they took me so many places & even had a party! I became good friends with the whole family. When I got the news of Max's death, it was difficult to process. You can imagine what it was like for me to get on the computer and "buzz" my friend Max and have him not answer me...I miss you Max! IMs are not IMs without you. May you have peaceful rest my dear brother. I love you.
