During our 6th grade year, while at Merigold, Rush and I decided that we just had to get back to Cleveland to see a World Series game on tv. We hitchhiked from Merigold to Cleveland during school hours and walked to Rush's house, turned on the tv and were just about to start watching the game and our fathers walked in - both of them - someone had seen us on hwy 61 with our thumbs out and called our dads. they were not amused. sure did love that guy. my dad was on the fire department at the time of the fire. he told us what happened the next morning and never spoke of it again that i remember.
