Margaret Helen Martin

Margaret Helen Martin (Immke) passed away on March 31, 2022 in Maricopa, AZ. She was born to Margaret and Edward Immke on June 23, 1936 in Cleveland, OH.

She graduated from Collinwood High School in Cleveland in 1954 and attended Hiram College in Ohio. Margaret graduated from Ohio State University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and worked as a medical technologist in many medical facilities and hospitals including St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland, Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, NY, St. Agnes Hospital and the American Red Cross in Baltimore, MD. She was a Lay Missionary of Charity, founded by Mother Theresa of Calcutta. She was a member of the Legion of Mary. Margaret was most recently a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Maricopa and a faithful Catholic her entire life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Margaret Mary Martin; son, Thomas Peter Martin; and siblings, Edward Immke, Jeanne Baeher and James Immke. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Martin of Maricopa; children, Ann Marie (John) Bunn, Linda Marie (David) Carmack and David Louis Martin all of Maricopa, Michael Robert (Gayle) Martin of Manchester, MD, William Edward Martin of Hampstead, MD; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Maricopa. Visitation 10 a.m.-11 a.m., Rosary 11 a.m. and Mass at 11:30 a.m. A gathering will be held on April 21, 2022 at Eckhardt Funeral Home in Manchester, MD at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Reisterstown, MD. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Our Lady of Grace, Maricopa Building Fund.
