Ruth's father was a minister and they had moved here from Texas. Ruth had a pajama party at her home and I was invited and can remember her telling stories from her Texas life. I am deadly afraid of snakes for some strange reason and when Ruth found that out she would tell us stories about outside sleep outs and snakes. She was my friend in spite of the snake stories!!

ruth was a dear friend and had many interests - she and her husband, don, were in euclid for a while and had msny shared times - no matter where we needed to go, ruth always said,it's only down the road apiece in her texas voice - she and i went to hear a cleve. orchestra performance at euclid high school - when they started the familiar da-da-da-daaaaa from Beethoven's fifth symphony, i whispered to her how quiet it was coming from a 50-piece orchestra - she smiled and said that was how it was supposed to be - she was always a team player and was well versed in sewing, sports, sewing, camping, music or friendships and always added her specialness -
