Nancy and I both started at Collinwood in the 9th grade so a lot of friendships had been forged before we came to CHS. We headed to Collinwood from Kirk for Nancy and St. John's Lutheran for me. Somehow we found each other and became best friends until her death. We were one of the group that started the DEBS club at the Y.M.C.A. where we both made more lasting friends along with other classmates from various groups. She was one of a kind and I am glad she was my friend. Collinwood was a wonderful experience and I am glad I had a chance to attend.
I fondly remember Nancy from Debs. She was always a kind and friendly person and could always make me laugh. After Collinwood, I only saw her at reunions and our Girls Getaways, but it was always like we just continued the conversation we had had the last time we were together. She was such a warm and genuine person. I was sad that we lost her so early - she is truly missed.
