Ron "The Barber" Slaper of Wickliffe passed away on May 9, 2014, in Willoughby. He was born August 26, 1936, to the late John and Mary Slaper in Cleveland. He graduated from Collinwood High School in 1954 and married his wife Nancy on September 1st 1956 He was a self-employed barber for over 40 years, member of Collinwood Memories Club and VFW Post 3863. Ron also loved to golf and travel. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved being with his family most of all. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy (nee Dutchcot) Slaper; his daughters, Karen (Craig) Wilson, Kathy (Ed) Hromulak and Kim (Brett) Molnar; his grandchildren, Hanna, Alecia and John Hromulak, Jake and Logan Molnar, and Matthew Wilson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Slaper. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake.
