I knew Dennis all my life. We went to Church st school and were in Church also. I think he passed in 1994 or so. I went to his funeral as well which was upbeat. Dennis suffered a lot and it was painfull to hear about it. Dennis was smart, kind and never uttered a bad word about anyone. I hope Dennis and his Mother Ann Samples are at peace now.
I knew Dennis mainly because he was a friend of a friend when we were in school. I remember him being very talented musically. Our senior trip I went to Panama City instead of Daytona with 3 of my friends and Dennis was there with some of his friends. He and I were two of only a few that were already 18 (you recall that was the legal age at the time) and we went to Spinnakers. We danced the night away and had a great time, he was a good guy.
