To Gary and Family....

I am deeply saddened, by your loss. I didn't know Tammy,
like many of my classmates did, but I remembered her,
and remembered seeing her in school. She always had a gentile smile, that radiated..warmth and kindness.

That is something truly rare...as I know...she was a bright light in this world.

She and I, had spoken on-line through this network...a time or two...and she was one of the "very few"...who had responded to my inquires about things, like this past reunion...and I could tell by her responce, that she was still just as genuine, after all these years...as she had been,
back in the day, when we were just high school aquaintances.

Gary...I know your loss, is a great one, unbearable..during these times...and your Family and Friends are hurting with you...Just know..
that as dark as things are right now...and with all, that is going on in your mind, and in your heart...that.."God" has a plan...and, "He"...is in Control...hold on to your faith..and know...that you will
see her again some day, and the answer to all these things...we shall all know someday...
in Eternity..

Take care my Friend..

Gary

I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Tammy was one of the first to reach out to me. I was planning on walking this year as it was not in the cards for me last year. I can only hope that your children and grandchildren will help to keep her wonderful spirit and memory ever present. My heart goes out to you.

Life is fleeting. Love, live, and give as she truly did.

I didn't know Tammy well in high school. I was the new kid and we didn't have any classes together. Our brief contact was smiling at each other as we passed in the halls. Flash forward 30 years... Tammy reached out to myself and my daughter over these last several months offering words of encouragement and unexpected acts of kindness. She was an amazing person, full of life, love and compassion for her fellow man. She took a particular interest in Victoria during our difficult time. We are both shocked and saddened by Tammy's unexpected and sudden passing. It grieves us to know that we will not have her in our lives any more but it also gives us hope to know that we now have another guardian angel looking out for us from above. Upon learning of this loss, Victoria wrote a poem for Tammy. I hope that you find it appropriate to post here:

Beautiful Heart of a Stranger - by Victoria Cantrell

I never saw your face
I did not know your name
I never heard your voice
And yet, to me you came

Your outstretched arms of love
Came across the miles
To wrap me in your kindness
And share with me your smiles

When I was filled with sadness
And overwhelmed with tears
Your gentle words of peace and faith
Soon eased away my fears

You encouraged me to shine
And not give up the fight
Your constant love and faith
Made it possible to see the light

Your star, it shone so brightly
Too soon, you left our days
A beautiful heart of a stranger
Changed lives in many ways

I never saw your face
But now, I know your name
You helped to heal my heart and soul
And I'm forever changed.

Tammy, may you rest in the arms of the angels and may you know how much you were loved and will be missed. We keep Gary and the rest of your family & friends in our hearts, minds and prayers.

Tammy's husband Gary took time to speak to Wolfgang and me Wednesday night at Tammy's viewing. They were working last Saturday at their home-office in Clayton. Tammy slipped and hit the front of her head between her eyes. Gary said he wanted to take her to the hospital. Tammy refused. Tuesday her headaches took her to their doctor. He did test. Nothing found so they went home. Thursday they went back to see their doctor for her head aches and he gave her two types of pills. Gary said Friday night they kissed good night he told her he loved her and they went to sleep. Saturday morning Gary woke and told Tammy to move to her side of the bed and he pushed her. Nothing happen. He felt for a pulse and called 911. Gary said the medics arrived within five minutes but she had already passed.
