Robin Nash Wellhouse

After high school I spent over a decade in the US Navy. Both in my military career and afterwards, I traveled all over the world. I eventually returned to Oklahoma where I became a police officer and advanced to patrol sergeant. I met and married D.J., who was a detective there and then moved to Alaska in 1995. We both work for the US Government, we play pool, ride motorcycles, go camping, shoot guns, and love to fish. Just started our adventure in 2010, when I was hired as the High Desert District Safety Manager for BLM. My home duty station is in Rock Springs, but my work area is the entire SW half of the State. We live in a little town of just under 300 people called Eden. It's beautiful country to be living and working in (I'm not totally chained to a desk!) I remember the double wide sidewalk of Washington elementary, 4th & 5th grade (Bolerjack and Ballinger's classes). You know the playground was SOOOO kid friendly with all that large rock gravel instead of grass. I was the only girl to jump (and make it) across that gap. Unfortunately, I landed funny and ended up breaking my leg. Then I went and broke it again riding dirt bikes up at smelter hill during my Soph year. Still managed to march with the cast on! lol
