Comments:
I graduated from Hope College in 1992 and went to work for Andersen Consulting in Detroit doing IT/Business Process consulting work (computer programming, systems analysis, design & development). In 1995 I was married to Lisa and we had our first child, Justin, who was born in October of 1998, and then our second, McKenna, who was born in May of 2001. During that time, I transitioned first into a market offering development role within our managed care practice, then into a Knowledge Management role within our Financial Services practice (during that time, Andersen Consulting broke from Arthur Andersen and became Accenture). I am still working with the Knowledge Management area for our Global practice. The best part of my current role is that I work from home 99% of the time.
We currently live in South Lyon, Michigan (just about 15 minutes from Walled Lake – for those of you who remember our ‘exchange program’ from our elementary years) with our dog, Bella, and fish – who’s name depends on who you ask.
In my spare time I enjoy most playing and hanging out with my kids, participating in dramas at my church (NorthRidge in Plymouth, MI – see two videos below and see if you can spot me), and being a photographer. I also still enjoy running and am running in the Detroit ½ marathon this year with an eye on running the full marathon next year and qualifying for the Boston marathon.
