Kathy was a very close friend of mine, ever since grade school at Buena Vista, when I met her in the 5th grade. She lived about a mile from my home and so we would walk home together. She really was one of the sweetest friends I have ever known.
I was her bridesmaid at her wedding to Don Becker. I saw her approximately once a year after we were married and living our lives in Colorado Springs (and for me in Golden/Arvada). She had a full life with four children (3 daughters and 1 son and numerous grandchildren) and was very much loved by all her family and friends. We attended one of the Palmer High School reunions together with our husbands many years ago (which some of you may remember). She passed away in 2009.
