I have already received a couple of emails discussing the high price of the reunion at $65/person.  Here is a breakdown of our costs.

Cost analysis:  $38.00 per person for food PLUS

$400 for DJ, $100 for bartender, $100 for carver station, dance floor $200, room rental $400, 22% service fee (tip), tax 7.75%, $99 for reunion website.

* For what it is worth - this was pretty standard for any location with a nice hotel which is what many of you seemed to want.  I understand $65 per person is high in todays economy; however, it is also a fair rate for what we are getting AND it IS our 20 year reunion (not just another date night).  We were able to cut off $10 per person from the original quote which was no easy task.

 

Plans:  We have heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar only.  Wonderful menu plan which I can get out to you soon.  We are working on the DJ/MC which I believe is going to be our very own CCHS Class of '90 graduate, Sherry Smith Peele and her husband.  

 

From the survey results of the reunion location, it was really close to our surprise.  Tami and I both felt that many more would choose the country club due to the costs.  It is obvious that many of you would like the choice to be able to stay at the location after the reunion.  Yes, Embassy Suites IS $15 more per person than the alternative, however, we WERE able to bring the ticket cost down $10 per person AND you now have the option of stay.  We do have a block of rooms available at a reduced rate.  IF you know you want to stay at Embassy Suites on the night of the reunion, we will be given a code next week that you will need to give the operator in order to get the reduced rate.  We highly recommend that you call immediately to reserve your own room for which you will be financially responsible.
