Ray L. Devi, 35, of Tacoma, Wash.

Ray was born Oct. 12, 1970, in Coos Bay, to Kenneth and Ranuka Devi. He died Dec. 3, 2005, in Tacoma.

He graduated from Marshfield High School and attended Southwestern Oregon Community College for three years. Ray moved to Tacoma in 1992, to follow his dream and passion of working in the airline industry. He worked for Horizon Airlines in Seatac, Wash., for a while.

Ray married Shalen Singh, and from the union they had one daughter, Crystal Raynita. A second child is due to arrive in January 2006.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shalen Devi; father, Kenneth Devi of Tacoma; mother, Ranuka Devi of Tacoma; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Shama Devi of Tacoma, and Alvin and Kimberly Devi of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter, Crystal Devi of Tacoma; nephews, Joshua and Dillon Devi; nieces, Alyssa, Jenna and Cassandra Devi; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended family members.
