After highschool I attended Macalester College in St. Paul MN for 4 years, where I graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Religious studies. During college I studied abroad in Australia for a semester at the University of Queensland, where I met my future husband. After college my future husband and I traveled around Australia for 3 months before moving back to the states. We lived in Portland for 2 years and then moved to Washington DC so that I could attend graduate school at the George Washington University. I graduated from GWU in 2008 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and I currently work as a pediatric outpatient physical therapist for the Legacy Health System in Portland. I married my husband in August of 2003 and we bought our first house this past September (2008). We now live in SE Portland near Reed College and couldn't be happier. My husband works as an Environmental consultant for ICF International, a consulting firm based out of Fairfax, VA. We both love living in Oregon and think Portland is one of the greatest cities.
