Mr. Franz died May 21, 2002 in Antioch, Tn.  He was born May 28, 1956 in Council Bluffs to William H. and Beverly A (Hoff) Franz.  He was a 1974 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School.  He lived in San Francisco from 1988 - 2000.  He moved to Antioch two years ago.  He was a homemaker, and he worked for the family bowling business, Regal Lanes in Council Bluffs.  He was guitarist in the Radiators Band.

Survivors include his wife, Gena Coe; one son, Otis John Coe, of Antioch; parents Bill and Beverly Franz, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Paula Ronk, of Council Bluffs, two brothers, Mark and wife, Treesa, and Joseph, all of Council Bluffs.

The body was cremated.
