BLOCK , NANCY L. (NEE HAYNES) 47, of Galloway, departed this life on August 16, 2002 at 4:00 AM after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was raised in a military family, living in numerous states before moving to Galloway in 1989. Nancy worked at the Smithville Shop N Bag until the store closed, where she enjoyed making friends with the many people she met.
Nancy is survived by: her parents, Leonard and Jean Haynes; brothers, Arnold, Robert, Mark; daughter, Stacy Witt; grandson, Hunter Witt; various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of Council Bluffs and Omaha; husband Robert Block of Galloway; stepson, Damon Block and granddaughter, Haley Blockof North Glenn, CO; mother-in-law, Lillian Block of Westfield; and sister-in-law, Sally Tebbetts of Boyce, VA. Before her untimely death, Nancy got to fulfill some of her greatest wishes, for which heartfelt gratitude goes to the family, Dr. Naim Nazha, Compassionate Care Hospice, and GoldWing Road Riders Assn.
