Obituary:

Edwin Mason Daniels
June 22, 1950 - October 18, 2021

Edwin Mason Daniels has passed away after his second fight with cancer on October 18, 2021.

Ed is survived by his wife, Marion Daniels; his two sons, Andrew Mason Daniels and Michael Edwin Daniels; and his three sisters Pat Daniels, Cathy Rayburn, and Carla Moore.

Ed was born on June 22, 1950 in Manchester, Iowa to Ward Edwin and Catherine Marian Daniels. They moved to Minnesota and then to Covina, California in 1959. At the age of 20, Ed joined the Army and served until 1973. He and his wife moved to Visalia in 1978, where they later got married in 1988 and have lived thereafter.

Ed was a loving and caring husband, father, and brother. Family was one of the most important parts of his life. He always considered himself fortunate to have his sisters just a few blocks away.

Ed was a lifelong golfer and could often be found at Valley Oaks Golf Course. He passed along his passion for the sport to his two sons. He'll be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit.

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday October 30, 2021 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.

Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Memorial Tributes and condolences may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com.

Thank you Doyle for posting this legacy to Ed.  It was nice to learn more about his life.  I went from elementary school thru high school with Ed but never knew him well.  He was just one of the neighborhood kids.  I am stunned by all that have gone before us.

It pains me to hear that Ed passed away. He was part of a group of us that hung out together. In fact, he was instrumental in me meeting my wife Joy in 1969. We lost touch soon after that. I'm glad I was able spend time with him at our last reunion.
