Cindy Jean Bennett Jackson, of Covington, died December 17, 2008, at Dekalb Medical Center, at the age of 47. Born in Fulton County to the late Linda Noles Bennett, she had lived in Newton County for 39 years and had been employed as a teller for The Bank of Covington for 8 years. Mrs. Jackson was a gifted artist and was very talented with pencil drawings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jackson.

Survivors include father and step-mother, Bobby and Betty Bennett of Covington; aunts and uncles, Charles and Joanne Bennett of Fountain, CO, Richard and Anita Noles of Conyers, Lorene Sellars of Carrollton, Betty Turner of Tucker, Shirley and Wayne Guthrie of Nathalie, VA; cousin, Tommy Kennedy; several other cousins.
A Memorial service for Mrs. Jackson was held Saturday, December 20, 11:00 AM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating.
