Jane was one of my dearest friends in school.  We had classes together all the way from kindergarten through high school.  I will always remember her.  God bless Mike and the whole family. --- Sheryl Capes Cross Griffith

I was just fixing to lock my store and go home for the night. I saw this and thought, why?  Jane was one of the most precious girls I have ever known. But sometimes, I know there are reasons unforseen to us, and reasons that are for the best. I am at a loss, because I do not know the cause of death. I will say, it shouldn't have been her.

But what do I know. I do know she was a great girl, a loving soul, with a wonderfully beautiful smile, and shy, all at the same time. I knew her; and sometimes we were close, and yet we never got to really KNOW each other as close as we should. She was a beautiful girl, in every way. She had a wonderful heart, and this really blows my mind.

I know she will be truly missed, and continually loved by all who were close ,and all of us who weren't so close at times. But either way, she was the kind of soul that made you feel close, no matter what. It may have been her smile, her wisdom, or her love for others, and her wonderful heart; but she made everyone feel loved.

I know one Mike Kitchens, but I am sure there are many. The Mike I knew was from Covington, so I am a bit unsure. My prayers are with you, whichever Mike you are. I know you are saddened beyond words.

This really got me. For all family members, my deepest sympathy to you all. I know what it is like to lose someone close. My heart is with you all. Jane was just a classmate, and a kind and friendly one that I will never forget. I know there are many, many more that she knew better than me that will be saddened also.

My love and prayers are with you all,

Sincerely,

Jerry Cohen
