Monte Steve Linn, age 61, of Ladson SC died Tuesday, February 2, 2010. He was born in Atlanta GA on June 3, 1948 to the late James G. Linn Sr. and Lucile Merke.
He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be missed by his family and many friends. He served his country in the United States Army. He loved fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Monte is survived by his wife; Marsha Linn of Ladson SC; sons: Andy Linn ("Cricket") of Hawaii, Jody Linn (Casey) of Jacksonville FL, Joey Truesdell (April) of Summerville, Phillip Truesdell (Rene') of Summerville SC, and Skip Murray (Donna) of Charlotte NC; daughters: Jackie McGail (Bart) of Summerville SC, Kathy Mills (Roy) of Moncks Corner SC, Dee Dee Murray (Susan) of Charleston SC; 28 Grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; special friend: Beverly O'Brien (Tom) of Ladson SC.
Funeral will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston SC 29406. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the funeral home.
