After graduation, I attended UT and majored in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. During the summer of senior year, I attended the University of Salamanca in Spain and backpacked all over western Europe. After graduating from UT, I completed my Master's in Health Administration in 1995 at Southwest Texas State University, married James in 1996 and completed my MBA from UT Arlington in 2001.
Over the last 10 years I have worked in both the Medicaid and Medicare industries in Marketing and Community Relations roles.
We had our first child Spencer in 2001 and Spicer was born in 2004. I was fortunate enough to experience natural childbirth with Spicer, 14 minutes after arriving at the hospital. The most exciting thing about his birth was that my dad walked in as I was ready to give birth and he was able to deliver the baby because my doctor hadn't arrived and there was no other doctor available.
I stay very busy working, working out and running the kids to karate, basketball, baseball, t-ball, football, swimming lessons, birthday parties, school and whatever else my husband thinks to sign them up for.
This summer my youngest child will be enrolled in a Spanish immersion school because he is a wiz and Spanish and enjoys sign language also. My oldest son is the cosummate athlete and will likely spend much of the summer participating in a variety of sports camps.
I have come to terms with the fact that I will never figure out what I want to do when I grow up so I'm just going to keep going to school until I get tired of searching. I am currently enrolled in classes as UTA to receive a certification in Spanish translation.
