Things are finally settling down after a year or so of craziness! My mother is fully recovered after her heart attack, but my father passed away from cancer in March '09. I transferred to the Occupational Therapy Masters program at Maryville University in St Louis
It's a mid-life career change NOT crisis :-)
Unfortunately, my husband's job with IBM changed the work at home policy. So he is back in NY & I am staying with mom here in Festus. Thank goodness for vacation time, semester & holiday breaks. Plus after 20 years together, these small "breaks" actually make us appreciate each other even more!
My daughter is finishing her last year of pre-med at Penn State. Next it's MCATs & applications.
Now I just have to train the giant brown Labradoodle to NOT climb the fence when he sees people leaving without him. Wish me luck !!!! |
