Duane Henry Vandewalker Born: Dec. 19, 1941; in Elkhorn, WI Died: March 30, 2014; in Crossville, TN Duane Henry Vandewalker, age 72, of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away March 30, 2014, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN. He was born December 19, 1941, in Elkhorn, WI, son of Albert & Claudia (Vincent) Vandewalker He worked as a self employed plumber and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He is survived by: His wife of 51 years - Susan A Vandewalker, Crossville, TN; Son - Kevin Vandewalker (Karyn); Daughter - Christine Blum (Brad); Grandchildren- Matthew Vandewalker, Zachary Vandewalker, Meghan Blum, and Heather Blum He is preceded in death by his Parents Albert Vandewalker and Claudia (Vincent) Vandewalker; Son - Jonathan Vandewalker; Brother - Gary Vandewalker Funeral services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Father John Dowling officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Knights of Columbus. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements. Duane was an avid fisherman and loved his bass boat. He enjoyed helping others, whether on a plumbing job, or boat rides for the Hilltoppers. It was all about the people.
