WILLIAM MARKEE OBITUARY

William (Bill) Markee
Born: February 10, 1943 in Crystal Lake, IL
Died: January 27, 2023 in Weslaco, TX
William (Bill) H. Markee, 79 years old, of Johnsburg Illinois, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 surrounded by his beloved wife of 33 Years, Janice Markee. Bill is the son of the late Melvin K Markee Senior and Kathryn C Hoffman.
Bill was born in Crystal Lake Illinois and later in life moved to McHenry, where he worked for AT&T 35 + Years. Bill had a great passion for life, he was a devoted husband and an amazing father to his two sons and two stepsons. He was a true friend and made a great impact on everyone he met.
Bill lived his life to the fullest enjoying golf, bike riding and for the last 16 years spent the winters in South Texas, where he made a large community of friends that became extended family. He was the local Shuffle Board enthusiast, league organizer and game player!
Bill is survived by his wife, Jan, Son, Perry (Jeni) Markee, Stepson, Jason Vanderflute, grandchildren, Ethan Markee, Avery Markee, Riley Markee and Adam Vanderflute.
Brothers, Melvin (Sandy) Markee, Wayne (Melodee) Markee, Sisters, Betty Miller and Alice Darst and many loving friends and extended family.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents, his son Adam Markee and stepson Aaron Vanderflute.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Sorry to hear of the passing of classmate Bill after graduating some 60+ years ago. From the information in the obituary he got great pleasure from outdoor activities and enjoyed many friend and activities in Texas - avoiding the brutal midwest winters. Hopefully we can all have a class reunion up in Heaven some day.
