Following graduation I headed to UNA and roomed with Chad Guest for 4 years. Graduated with a degree in Social Work and minor in History (never used either degree). After UNA I headed to Southwestern Theological Seminary. I served as a summer camp recreation director in North Carolina (where I met my wife) and New Mexico and also as the youth pastor at First Baptist Church, Santa Fe, NM during my summers of college and seminary. Following seminary I began working at FBC Midland, TX (www.fbc-midland.org) as the Minister of Recreation and Sports Outreach. As of March 2010 I work at North Richland Hills Baptist Church as the Wellness and Sports Ministry Pastor. We have a great center that I oversee complete with gym, fitness center, track, etc. I also put together sports outreach leagues, as well as various other activities (runs, golf tourneys, trips, etc.) for children - adults. So I guess I get to play for a living.
My wife and I met at a camp in North Carolina in 1993, were married in 1997 in Santa Fe, NM and moved to Midland, TX. She graduated from Baylor University in 1997 and has been a teacher, a pharmaceutical rep for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, a Children's Day Out director and now is a stay at home mom until both boys are in school. We have two boys...Jonah is 6 and Zeke is 2 years.
Let's see...Mrs. Hopper ("ennunciate"), drama class, coach Wilbanks running us to death at tennis practice, cruising, Friday football and the attending Pep Rally's, Andy the Vege, the crazy Chemistry teacher, skipping class
