Marine FRANK LAWRENCE 63, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Mr. Lawrence was born in Silver City, Iowa. He was a veteran of the US Marines having served during the Vietnam War. Frank received two Crosses of Gallantry's Medals, a Meritorious Unit Citation, a Presidential Unit Citation, a Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart Medal.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, May 9, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Military honors will be conducted by, Sgt. Benito Alaniz VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
