Marine George MERCADO was Killed In Action, December 11th, 1966, in Viet Nam.

Jack Larkin (1967)

I was there when George died. We went through booby trap school together in DaNang. It was when Duty Hill got over-run and we were going up there to see who was still alive. George picked up a handgrenade that was lying on the path.

He was a great Marine and a good guy. God Bless him - I hope to see him on the other side...
