Samuel Earl Kaufmann passed away May 10, 2016, He was 46 years old. There was no obituary published but there is a video of his memorial service. He is survived by his two young daughters, Anna and Kate, who loved him very much. You can also visit his Memorialized Facebook page.

Sam was a good friend of mine in high school. We backpacked a lot of the cohutta wilderness together during that time. It makes me sad to learn this.
