I graduated from Central Michigan University with a teaching degree in 1993. I spent many years substitute teaching while I looked for a full time teaching position. I did teach Kindergarten in Cheboygan, Michigan for one year, and then moved back to Dansville. Then I finally got hired as a first grade teacher at Dansville Elementary! Yes, at first it did seem really weird teaching in the classroom I was in as a first grader, and teaching with the many teachers that I had as a student. But it didn't take long to get used to the idea, it just seems like this is really where I belong. I just finished my 9th year teaching in Dansville, WOW how time does fly by.
In 1999 I married my H.S. sweetheart, Jeff Rockwell. (After dating for 11 years! Neither one of us know why we waited so long.) We live in Dansville, and enjoy being close to family. Most of the time anyway. We have a very active three year old son named Jayden. He sure keeps the two of us busy!
