Margaret Janosov (Cammisa) - Class Of 1942

Margaret R. Cammisa, 91, of Hazleton died Thursday morning at The Laurels, where she had been a guest.

She was born in Hazleton, daughter of the late John and Veronica (Mihalik) Janosov.

She was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Prior to retiring, she was a registered nurse and was employed by Dr. Coyle’s for a number of years.

Margaret was active in the Greater Hazleton Area Center for Slavic Studies.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, John, Mary McGraw, Cyril and Michael.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Cammisa; children, Rita Marie Augsburger and her husband, Robert, San Antonio, Texas; Mary Theresa Visintainer and her husband, Ferdinand, Macungie; Anthony Cammisa and his wife, Cheryl, Maryville, Tenn.; and Joseph Cammisa and his partner, Mary Sue Currier, Hazleton; a sister, Emily Degenhart, Hazleton; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., 542 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at

11 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

Interment will be held in Most Precious Blood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Friends and relatives may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
