Helen Kotulak Corona, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at her home in Scotch Plains, N.J.
The funeral will be from Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, N.J. on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, 1571 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. Born in Elsworth, Pa., Mrs. Corona had lived in Nanticoke, Pa., then Nutley, N.J., before moving to Scotch Plains 45 years ago.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Passaic, and worked as an R.N. at St. Mary's Hospital before retiring.
She was a member of the Scotch Plains Golden Agers and the Rosary Society at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Scotch Plains.
Mrs. Corona predeceased by her husband, John Vincent Corona. She is survived by her son, John Corona and his wife, Beverly; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Jennifer, and four sisters, Margaret Butchko, Bertha Zanowicz, Marie Baka and Rita Kropiewnicki.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Cyril Academy, 580 Railroad St., Danville, Pa. 17821.
