Joi Kauffman

PASTRICK, (Kauffman) Joi W. age 41 of Dayton, OH, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010, at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Llouwaun Kauffman. Survived by her husband Shawn, Kenneth Kauffman (father), Matthew Pastrick (step-son), Steve (step-brother), Ruth Evans (grandmother), Mary Jo (Steve) Frederick (aunt), Lesley Hunt (aunt) and Jennifer Babros and Brian Buttrey, very dear friends since grade school. Her generous heart and loving spirit will be greatly missed and she will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who shared in her life. Special thanks to her support group for women with cancer, The Noble Circle Project, and to Hospice of Dayton. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Rd., from 4 to 8 pm Friday, November 12, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday at Emanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin St. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in Joi's memory to The Noble Circle Project, c/o The Dayton Foundation, 500 Kettering Tower, Dayton, Ohio 45423 or the Humane Society.

I am at a loss for words, for I did not know of Joi's passing.  I am truly saddened by this news and praying for her family and friends.  She was a kind person and someone I thought of as a friend in school.
