​Our 60th class reunion was successful

​34 classmates and spouses attended the Friday evening reception and buffet at Moraine Country Club on Friday 9/21/18. 44 attended the dinner at NCR Country Club on Saturday 9/22/18. Pictures of the Saturday event are posted on this site. Jerry Hoerner was our MC. Bonnie Sollars Johnson spoke about the history of our area going way back into the early 1800s. Kathy Hodges and Linda Lytle Gobel were at the reception desks both evenings welcoming all the classmates. Carole Braun Feagler helped as well  and everyone seemed to really enjoy being together again.

The class of 58 made contributions of over $5,000 to the Alumni Plaza project. This project is lead by the Oakwood Schools Foundation and will be funded by contributions from all alumni. It will be a wonderful enhancement of the area on Schantz Avenue near the Pit (Jr. High Gym). Thanks to all who contributed.

A group of classmates gathered in Bonita Springs Florida on March 2, 2016, for lunch and conversation about the good old days at OHS

Some of our classmates gathered in Naples, Florida on January 19, 2015. It was a glorious Florida day and all enjoyed this special time together near the home of Carole Braun Feagler and her husband Nick. A typical good looking class of 1958 group!

Class Reunion Dinner took place on October 4, 2013 and was a success.

 Our 55th class reunion consisted of a very nice reception and dinner at the Moraine Country Club. About 30 classmates and spouses/guests were in attendance. It was a lot of fun and allowed us all to catch up with each other and enjoy a beautiful evening together.  Some pictures of the event are being posted on this website on the photo album page. On Thursday night our classmate Floyd Lanier Graham received the distinguished alumni award at a special ceremony at NCR Country Club. He was introduced by Tom Gleim who had nominated him for the award. Both Tom and Lanier did a super job at this event and we can be proud of both. Several classmates attended in support of Lanier.  Lanier was one of five to be recognized at this event which was run by the Oakwood Alumni Association.

Our next gathering will likely be our 60th in 2018 so start planning to attend. News of plans for this will be posted on the website as they develop.

Brenda Diener has done a great job as our class communicator and is now "retiring" from this responsibility. Brenda deserves our heartfelt thanks for the great job she has done during these past years.

Judy Lane Perry has graciously agreed to be our new class communicator.
