What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?
|
|
Hi everyone. It's been a loooong time and it is a Wild World or like the movie from 1963 "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, world". I was going to make the world a better place. Change everything. But like most grandiose high school ideas, being stoned a lot of the time, you come into reality and grow up. I really had no idea what I was going to do but I did do and see a lot. I did change the world, not in the worldly sense, but what I could do for those around me. Three things I do every day. I laugh, I think, and do at least one "random act of kindness".

Which Classmates do you still see/talk to/hang out with?

Yes. I'm still very good friends with Rick Richard and his family. Kim VanMeerbeck, Greg Vukovich and Jerry Talford. Steve Wilkes I'll see from time to time. I also got a call from my old friend Dean Cearbaugh to turn me onto this site.

Smoking a joint with Keith Cornila on stage in the auditorium during an impromteau skit for our speech class. Mrs Remington critiqued our perfomance as "The way you guys shared that cigarette it looked like you have been doing it for awhile." Only a year or two.

| Anything else we should know? |
|
Most of what we are today was shaped, I believe, in the four years of high school. And it was not all learned in the classroom. My youngest son Alex, was an all-city starting pitcher for Crestwood in 2003. Remember not to cuss the roses because they have thorns but to rejoice in the thorns because they have roses.

It wasn't the very best of times but it sure was close. |
